This installation attempts to place the term ‘grid’ in a broader context by applying this to our current society. Whoever doesn’t live up to the ‘norm’ is regarded as strange and dysfunctional. For example in the non-pursuit of mandatory behaviors in society, gender norms... This way of thinking inspired me to deepen the concepts normal and abnormal. Who lives up to the ‘norm’, the so-called ideal picture?
Who is abnormal: the people who follow the everyday flow, and thus go through the grid, or people who deviate from it? This is shown in the video below.

Installation made out of plexi sieve, balls, sand, light and two iPads. As part of LUCA Graduation Show 2018.
