These peculiar birthmarks are borrowed from family and friends and show a network of affiliation. Each birthmark is unique and does not occur twice. In this installation they become almost a play between the intimate and the fake: simultaneously ‘owning’ a birthmark and not being truthful to the outside world by sticking a completely fake and two-dimensional birthmark on your skin. You can apply it to yourself as a fake tattoo on a body part of your own choosing. Just pick your favourite borrowed mark, apply it on to your skin with the moist cloth and after 15" your fake birthmark will appear. Enjoy and spread these spots.
